There’s this sense of pride that you get when you’re out/ want to go out and your clothes are neatly ironed, it’s why you always need ironing hacks. We can all agree that we feel good when the gator of our trousers are as sharp as razors, or the frills of our gowns are neatly stretched out. It gives you some sort of confidence. After all, they say that looking good is good business.
Unfortunately, Ironing is annoying. It’s one laundry task that we all have to do but hate to do it. Why can’t clothes just iron themselves after we’ve gone through the stressful process of washing them? Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so.

The good news is that we’ve found different ironing hacks to replace the stressful process of ironing. Your clothes won’t be as stretched as when you use an iron but at least, they wouldn’t look like you just picked them from a shipping container. Let’s check them out.
Morning Dew
If you want your clothes to look stretched and don’t want to go through the stress of ironing them, you can hang them outside early in the morning, preferably before the sun comes out. The dew and cool morning breeze help to stretch out wrinkles and make your clothes look presentable.
Flat Iron
There is a popular rumour that women especially do not like to iron their clothes. We don’t know how true this is, but it is what it is. Luckily for ladies, the same electronic device that they use to straighten their hair can also be used for their clothes.
Flat irons can be used to stretch small parts of clothes like collars and cuffs. Just run the plates over the parts that need stretching and watch the heat do the magic.
Mattress
Another effective one of our ironing hacks that replaces ironing is putting your clothes under your mattress. Take your wrinkled clothes and roll them as if you are making sharwama.
Once it’s nicely wrapped up, put it under your mattress for an hour. You can also do it overnight if you like. Once you take it out, your clothes will look well stretched.
Hot Shower
Ironing is basically the application of heat and flat force to clothes. Sometimes, just the heat is needed to do the job. While you’re showering, you can hang your wrinkled clothes inside your bathroom (and close the door) while you bathe. The steam will work on it and smoothen out the wrinkles. Your clothes won’t exactly look ironed but it would look as if you tried and that’s all that matters really.
Dryer
After your wash and dry cycle, you should immediately put your clothes on a hanger and leave them out to dry in the open air. This will reduce the occurrence of wrinkles and you can just pick your clothes up and wear them whenever you want.
You can also put dry and wrinkled clothes in your dryer, add a small and damp piece of clothing like a sock or handkerchief and let it spin for 10-15 minutes. This will get rid of wrinkles fast.
Vinegar and Water
Is there anything vinegar cannot do? We highly doubt it. If you are in a fix and quickly need to stretch out your clothes, vinegar can help. Mix ⅓ vinegar with ⅔ of water, sprinkle it over your clothes then put it out to air dry for a couple of minutes. When you take it back in, most of the wrinkles would have disappeared.
Wrinkle Remover Spray
Wrinkle remover spray is the most convenient way to get rid of wrinkles if you aren’t a fan of ironing. Just spray it on the wrinkled clothes, shake it out vigorously, and watch the magic happen. It also has a great scent and will make your clothes smell fresh.
Hair Dryer
Put your wrinkled clothes on a hanger, then wet the wrinkled areas with a little bit of water. Turn on the hair dryer and focus the outlet on the most wrinkled sections of the clothes. You can also Make sure that you don’t hold the dryer too close to your clothes and risk burning the fabric.
